The Feast of Saint Patrick

March 17th is the feast of Saint Patrick, a patron saint of Ireland.
This is a statue of Saint Patrick Nellie keeps on her dresser. It reminds her of the Irish people's struggle to overcome the Druid intellectuals.

Nellie and I decided to wear our best green dresses to celebrate the fertile green countryside of Ireland.

Nellie and I went to mass to celebrate the day.

Snow Day!

Last night a big snowstorm hit Michigan
School was canceled!  I called Dakota to come over and play in the snow.

I waited at the door in anticipation.  When would Dakota get here?

 Dakota finally arrived.

We decided to make a snowman.

New Year Resolution

This weekend I was reading my new Meet Rebecca book when Becky and her Mom stopped over.

Becky and I hung out in the family room while our my Mom talked with her Mom.
We played with my new eight ball and talked about our favorite American Girl books.
Talking with Becky about all of the super American Girl books made me decide to finish reading Meet Rebecca. I am now inspired to read a little every day.

Aloha, Kanani!

 Girl of the Year Club
Lindsey, Kailey, Marisol, Nicki and Lanie

It's a new year and that means time for a new American Girl Friend.  My pals from the girl of the year club are super excited to have a new member. Her name is Kanani and she is from Hawaii. I have her books and can't wait to finish reading all about Kanani and her adventures in American Girl land.  Hey who knows maybe Kanani will come for a visit!  In the meantime the girl of the year club members will just have to be happy with my books.

Coconut Trick or Treat Exchange

I am participating in a gift exchange that is Halloween themed.  I had so much fun making gifts for my secret pals I just had to share with all of you what I did for my gifts.  First of all let me also add that Emily and Julie helped.  In fact Julie came up with the design! Together we made twenty five bead bracelets in fun Halloween colors of black, orange, yellow, white and purple.  Emily was the best at stringing the beads but Julie was the only one who could tie the bracelets.  I worked on doll sized candy corn made out of "fimo" clay. When then put some candy corn and a bracelet into each gift bag and tied them off with a purple ribbon printed with the word "BOO".  We sent them off to the Creepy Coconut headquarters and in a few weeks we will get a Halloween package filled with lots of special treats from special American Girl pals.

Hospital Happy Return

Yipee!  Felicity, Kit and Kirsten are back.  The girls' doll doctor at the AG hospital was so caring and professional. Kirsten is so excited her legs are no longer ready to fall off.  She told me it was so stressful before her trip to the hospital but now she is ready for tons of play.  Felicity and Kit are just relieved to be back to normal. No more loose legs.  All of the girls are so happy to have also gotton some major spa time at the AG hospital's hair salon.  Just look at their matching bows and gowns.  As for the gang here we could not be happier to have Felicity, Kit and Kirsten back, safe at home in time for Halloween fun and the holiday's.
